Good Calendar App?

Well I like how the iDevices have today's date as the icon to bring up the calendar. But on Android, it's always the 20th! Any way to make this icon show the current date, or is there an application that will do this, and also sync with my Exchange calendar/Google calendar?

I use Business Calendar which has a 4x1 widget with the date on it. I have this on my home screen for that very purpose.

Oh, and I use MyPhoneExplorer to sync with my Outlook calendar. But that's on my PC, not via Exchange. See ... http://syncdroid.net/sync-android-droid-outlook-exchange-calendar-contacts-notes-tasks ... for various options. Though you'll then have to Google each one to see what fits your usage best.

Also, Business Calendar is not a free, ad-free application. i should have mentioned that's what I want. Free, no ads. I simply want the calendar icon to show today's date, and when tapped, go to the Android calendar.

The widget options I have on my 2.3.3 phone are: 2x1, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4
3x1, 3x2, 3x3, 3x4
4x1, 4x2, 4x3, 4x4

Try smooth calendar if you want a good widget. can be customized to fit every home screen. You can also choose which calendar to feed the widget. I guess this was kind of off topic, but if you want a nice calendar widget, check it out.

CalendarPad is what I use. I use the full month view 4x4 widget, but they have other sizes, including a 1x1 that shows todays date, and when you tap it, it opens up the full calendar.

Checking out some others that folks posted. tCalendar is a useless piece of crap, the date doesn't change as it says it does.

Calendar Pad doesn't use Android's calendar, neither does Jorte. Business calendar doesn't have an icon. :-/

What do you mean?
There is an app icon in the application drawer. You can also make an app shortcut in your homescreen. Finally, there are 12 widgets that you can customize as you like.

and why is that not an option?
it's a 1x1 widget that shows you the day (name & date) and month, which as far as i can see is exactly what you're asking for

Not if you you make it a static shortcut.
There is a 2x1 widget (that's the smallest I see) though which can show the actual date every time.

Not sure what you mean here. I only use CalendarPad, and when I enter nw things onto it, they show up on the Android Calendar and sync to my GMail calendar too.

Jorte can use Android/Google or its own calendar. check settings.
