Good, Free Wallpapers? (not Live)

I am looking for some good and free wallpapers for my phone, but they can't be Live wallpapers.

I am currently using a pack called Nature Scenes, so I'm looking for something different than that.

Any suggestions?

Just find pictures you like on the net, then resize them to 960x800 for homescreen images or 480x800 for lockscreen images.

Zedge, simple desktops, flikie hd, coveroid all have good wallpapers. Search for them in the market, they should all be free, with the exception of simple desktops-requires donation to be able to download the walls (versus setting them from the app). I have a few more but I can't remember what they are called at the moment.

Go under google search on your desktop and make a filter to search for pictures with a specific resolution of 960x480 (or whatever your resolution is) and the subject of your choice. Chances are you will find something you like.

I use "Background" they have a tone of pictures to choose from by category. You save them to you phones memory.

I've found plenty of good walls at Wallbase: Computer wallpapers / wallbase.cc
They can be sized with any image editing program - The GIMP is free and works well.

For those who would prefer colors to pictures, the free app "Colors" in the market offers a huge number of color choices for your background.

I started out by browsing DeviantArt and other sites - and my own image archives on disk - for potential wallpapers, and then manually cropped and resized as needed.
I've since installed the excellent Zedge app and have found a ton of great images there (plus some excellent ring tones) - all in the correct format - many of which are much better suited as wallpapers than most of the images I had dug up manually (a great looking image doesn't always look as impressive when it's partially covered by icons, widgets and text).
