"What do you mean?" he (Gandalf, in The Hobbit) said. "Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?"
To which I'll reply with Bilbo (who Galdalf was addressing): "All of them at once."
Anyways, my name's Josh, usually known as jr2 (like over on the Hard Light Productions forums, if you know what FreeSpace 1/2 was, and would like to play it with modern assets, head over there), however, over the years, others have registered under that nick before me (the nerve! lol) so I just use the hex translation instead: 0x (meaning hex) 6A7232 <-- hex equivalent of the ASCII characters jr2, I use that over on XDA where I recently registered as well.
I like helping out where I can, which is why I'm posting here, I found a possible solution (worked for me) to Titanium Backup freezing / hanging when restoring certain apps. However, no URLs are allowed to be posted, so I can't attribute my source (titaniumtrack . com, TiBu's support page), and it was suggested I introduce myself here to get that lifted.
I was going to put the quote below in the thread here { http androidforums com/galaxy-s2-international-all-things-root/517841-titanium-backup-keeps-getting-stuck.html }
quote from http www titaniumtrack com/kb/titanium-backup-kb/titanium-backup-troubleshooting.html
27. Titanium Backup hangs while freezing apps, restoring apps or other actions. What should I do?
You might have incorrect permissions (eg: 04755) on your "su" binary, which causes problems with some root apps.
Open a shell
(you can use Terminal Emulator from the Android Market, here: https play google com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm
and for easier command entering, you can use the Hacker's Keyboard, here: https play google com/store/apps/details?id=org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard
{code to put in your terminal, type the commands EXACTLY as they are shown}
Code:
su
/data/data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/files/busybox mount -o remount,rw /system
/data/data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/files/busybox chmod 06755 /system/bin/su /system/xbin/su
/data/data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/files/busybox mount -o remount,ro /system
Once it
