Good RSS Reader

iAmKing

Newbie
I'm looking forf a good RSS reader for my droid. I use to use Viigo when I had my many assortment of Blackberry's. Anyone know of a good one like Viigo?

I like NewsRob but other people on this forum have other preferences. You should try using the forum search though or asking in the applications sub forum there are a bunch of threads on this topic with a lot of detailed info on the various apps and features they have.

I recommend using Google Reader through the browser. The UI is really good. Just put a bookmark on your home screen. This option doesn't support offline reading, but that's never been an issue for me.

I agree, I was using newrob until I discovered that google reader through the website is better. I keep forgetting that for many things I don't even need a native app....we-based are usually equal or better.

I just wish there was a way to cache google reader for offline viewing because most of the time when I want to read RSS feeds, I'm on a subway with no coverage

im currently using newsrob and i dont like it. i want something more like Viigo and havent seen anything. and when i say LIKE i mean i want an awesome app for free. WTF is there so few good free apps for android? Just paid for a twitter app kuz everything else sucked a$$. im starting to get really annoyed

I like Greed myself, but more often than not I find myself using Google Reader from the browser. It just works oh so well. But then too, the browser on the Incredible makes it so much easier.

i ditched newsrob for newsroom. i definitely dont believe anyone should ever have to pay 5 bones for an app though so ill stick with the trial for now

what does the pay version give you??

I use Google Reader. On a regular browser I often use the keyboard to mark posts as read without opening them. Is there any way to do that in Android browser?

Yes, scroll down to the bottom of the list of postings, and there should be a link that says "Mark these items as read". Click on that.

I'm referring to marking individual items as read without opening them. The link you mention marks all items as read.

the latest update to Feedr is great! it's the best RSS reader i have seen yet. newsroom is cool, but it's totally different from Feedr.
