google account, gmail, playstore

what is the difference btwn a google account and gmail? can i use either or to access the playstore? or is it required to be a gmail account?

Google account and Gmail account is the same thing.
Google account will always be ***@Gmail.com
With that account you can access all Google products, YouTube, Google drive, photos, etc. And GMAIL
So yes you do need a Google account to use the play store. To make an account go to Gmail.com (or any other Google product) and create account

First of all, you need a gmail account. It's the same as a Google account.
