Help 'Google App' Missing Toolbar

This useful toolbar appeared for the first few days and now it has gone missing.
Where you see coin flip, eat & drink, calculator etc. there is just a white space now that cannot be pressed.
I have looked at every setting I can think of to no avail and would love it if someone could help me restore it.

Welcome to Android Forums. Did you activate a different launcher? Somethin like Nova launcher?

Thank you for your welcome, that is very kind of you and I hope someone can sort out this query.
On my phone all I have to do is swipe the home screen to the right for the Google app and this is what I usually do.
I have tried running it from the apps menu too, but the result is still the same.
It is puzzling because all I did was switch the phone off as usual but today, the bar just disappeared.
The model is a Moto G5 and I cannot see an alternative launcher from Motorola anywhere.

SOLVED!
I will put a few words for search engines to help any others with the same problem.

April 2017 Motorola Moto G5 Android 7.0 Nougat Google App not showing toolbar under search box, disappeared, blank. This may happen after the Motorola update 'Motorola Update Services' (check your activity).

(apps such as restaurants, supermarkets, cashpoints, calculator, spirit level, coin toss, eat & drink, entertainment, sports)

SOLUTION:
Go to Play Store and find Google Now Launcher. This will be disabled so press to enable it.
While you are there search for the app 'Google' and download the update. You may need to become a beta tester for the latest one, details are here

When you have the latest version go to your phone settings / apps and find Google App then press Storage / Clear Cache, then press Manage Space / Clear All Data
