Google Assistant not reading outlook reminders on Google Calendar

Been trying to figure this all day but no success.

I want my google assistant to be able to read reminders from outlook 365 which i have to use at work.

Tried adding it to gmail , for some strange reason it was added , could send mails but was unable to sync my inbox.

So I used a custom template in Microsoft "flow" to duplicate outlook reminders in google calendar. Tadaa! New outlook reminders appeared in google calendar. Then I realised "flow" could not transfer existing reminders or amendments.

So i did a workaround by setting up outlook via Nine. Hooray! Everything worked flawlessly. All reminders new and old appeared in google calendar.

But google assistant still refuses to read these reminders.

Pro tips pls ?

Until i get this resolved GA just seems like a gimmick

Cmon , US based news sources? What about the rest of the world?

Open the Google app, tap Menu > Settings > Google Assistant: Settings. There should be a Calendar option at the bottom of that list which will allow you to choose which Calendars are available to the Google Assistant.

I can't guarantee that Assistant will be able to operate with your Outlook calendar (I bet Cortana can! ), but if it's possible then that will be where you should configure it.

There is no calendar option in GA unfortunately - pls see attached

What i just found out is that my outlook calendar entries are being categorized under GA's "Your Stuff' agenda list.

Changes via outlook were reflected almost immediately in GA

I created one recurring and one specific time entry which were shown without fail.

Your thoughts ?
