Google Calendar Emails

Hi,

I switched from a BB to Galaxy S3 recently. I saved all my Outlook calendar events in a csv form and uploaded to Google Calendar. I then synced my phone with it.

However, I noticed a few things:

For some reason, events that I didn't put a reminder for now have reminders. Is there a default setting or something I need to look at?

Also, I get an email in my gmail account every time a reminder pops up. Is there any way to stop the email? I just want to see the calendar event pop up in my phone.

I think the only way to stop the emails is to log into your GMail account using a PC. Go to calenders and click edit for the event sending the email. In the edit screen below the description box you will see two reminder choices, pop up and email. Delete the email reminder.

I'm not sure if this can be done using the phone.
