Help Google Calendar Sync Problems

I just noticed that the calendar on my GS3 (JB) is not syncing with my Google calendar. It always used to. My Google calendar IS syncing between my Samsung Galaxy Tablet (ICS) and my desktop.

If I go to my phone settings and accounts, there is a little warning symbol on the sync symbol next to calendar on my Google Account. Everything else is syncing fine (Email, contacts, etc. ) There is a message at the bottom of the screen that says, "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." Has anyone else seen this with your phones?

Go into Settings/Application manager. Scroll over to all. Scroll down to your calendar and tap. Clear cache, Clear data and Force stop. Now restart the Calendar and see if it will sync.

Thanks so much for the info. It really helped.

First I did exactly what you said. I deleted the cache and the data from the calendar app. Then I did a force stop and restarted my phone. I still had the same problem.

I tried again, but went further. I uninstalled two calendar apps I had downloaded. Then, I deleted the cache and data for the included calendar app and the calendar widget app. There was another app listed called "Calendar Data." I cleared the cache and data from that app, too. I forced all three to stop and the restarted my phone. Voila. The problem was fixed. I no longer had the sync problem. Since I did like the Touch Calendar app that I had downloaded, I reinstalled that app. It seems to be fine now, too.

Thanks for your help. I wouldn't have thought of doing that or gotten the problem fixed without it.
