Hi all

I have a checkout account linked to phone. Could my wife use the same about to buy apps for her phone? or does she need her own?

I think your first sentence answers the question... "I have a checkout account linked to phone".

She will need her own account on her handset/SIM.

According to Google:

"You can access your Google Checkout account from any mobile device that can connect to the Internet. If you use multiple devices to make purchases, or if you purchase a new device, you'll need to sign in first with your login information. Then, enter your existing PIN after you click Buy at a participating seller."

So, unfortunately, the answer is yes.
