Google Doesn't Listen Long Enough

Joe Soper

Lurker
My Galaxy S7 Edge is "OK Google" enabled but Google will not listen to me long enough to enter a complete search. It usually captures one word before displaying random results. For instance, I tell Google "Derek Jeter" and it responds with "Barrett". Very frustrating as it happened suddenly.

My Google app is updated and OK Google retrained (several times).

Thanks

In my experience, you pretty much have to talk continuously until you are done. It seems to stop quickly once you make even the slightest pause. Try a longer question and see what it does.

Yeah no breaks or hesitation. I will say that it's voice recognition is light years ahead of siri.... and search results much more accurate.

Thank you, I knew this and have tried longer sentences, saying them quicker. That's not working. And did I say that the problem is recent and sudden? Google used to work very well for me...

Oh, do I agree with that! However quickly and hesitation free I speak though, it's not recognizing my input.
