Hi im new to the cloud and need some info or help rather i know you can share videos and photos too google drive for save keeping but is there a way to transfer those photos and videos from google drive back to your phone?

I think @glc speaks of the Google Drive app on your device. Long press on the file you want to download, and it will prompt you to download etc

yes...I just tested it on my phone to be sure

so ok to be sure if want to sed pic or vids too google drive to make room on the phone all i have too to is select photo or vid and send to the google drive and if i want the pic or video back on my phone instead of google drive i have to go to google drive on my actual phone and long press then download it back from google drive too the phone?

Sounds about right.
Theoretically, you could upload all your files, pix and videos from your device to Google Drive.
Then, factory reset the device thereby deleting every freaking thing, lol, then go to the Google Drive app on your device, and download what you want

for real i can do that? im actually getting a new phone in a few days so how would i do that? would i first put everything on google drive and then qhen i get my new phone just sign into google drive then all my stuff would be there ? is there a way toooo like cuz if i were too do that wouldnt i have too put everything from google drive back on my phone one by one by one? that wud be unbearable

Please, just try it.

Another option is ES File Explorer or X-Plore. They both let you connect to a cloud host and treat it like a drive.

You should be able to save your photos by tapping on info icon, and then choosing Download. And it should be kept in your Gallery.
