Google Drive & Scanner

I've read others mention the new Document Scanner but I'm not seeing it. My phone using Ginger Bread 2.3.6 and my Tab 2 using Jelly Bean 4.1.1.

The scanner tool, for example, which you can now find under the “Add New” menu, allows you to easily turn paper documents like receipts, letter and billing statements into PDFs.

I'm not seeing this option under the Add New Menu.

Ok I checked again and the phone is showing the Scan option but the Tablet is not, and both have the same version of Drive, 1.2.182.26.

I'm running stock ICS and don't have the scan option on the new Drive version either.

Is it with your phone, tablet or both? It seems odd the tablet, with a newer version of Android, do not have the scanner option.

Open Drive, tap Menu (not the App menu but menu on the bottom of your device). Tap Add New and select Scan

When you say, menu on the bottom of your device, do you mean the caret (^) key? If so, I'm still not seeing, Add New and select Scan. Some reason, I don't seem to have the Scanner option on the tablet. But my phone have it.

On my tablet the interface is slightly different. Tap the + at the top of the screen and select Scan from that menu.

Which version do you have? Mine is 1.2.182.26.

I got it, I am running JellyBeans ROM for Note 2

saptech, I even wiped my tablet yesterday and after reinstalling Drive it still has that option.

I'll uninstall & reinstall it and see if that fix it.

I just did an uninstall/reinstall of google drive and still no Scan option. Does anyone know if the camera for the Student Edition P3113 is using a different camera then other models? I still can't understand why I'm not getting it.

Someone on Google + said they removed the Scan option from some devices on June 3 upgrade. There seem to have been issues with it. I haven't found anything mentioning it as of yet.
