Google Drive scanning - the death of CamScanner?

I've been using CamScanner (paid) for at least 2 years. Today, the update to Google Drive incorporates scanning pages using your phones camera. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with it so far - especially with the fact that it includes perspective correction. I even discovered that Google Drive has been performing OCR on my documents uploaded from CamScanner. While Google Drive may not work as well in all situations, I can see this making a big dent in the sales of CamScanner and similar apps. The only feature I use in CamScanner that I feel is missing is being able to scan multiple pages into a single document (and the batch mode that would go with it). One other feature (that I rarely use) that's missing is the ability to revert to the original image and re-crop after you've saved the document; but I only use that to correct poor cropping done in batch mode.

For those of you using CamScanner or similar apps: have you tried scanning with Google Drive? What do you think?

It's nice being able to scan in Google Drive but I think CamScanner is A LOT higher quality. At that's what it seems like to me with my phone's less than stellar camera.

After some more experimentation, I agree. Google Drive has more limited enhancement options, and the 'black & white' choice appears to result in a grayscale image. Based on my experience with other scanning apps, grayscale doesn't print well, whereas CamScanner's 'high enhance' mode prints very well. It also appears that images from Google Drive scanning are lower resolution than CamScanner, with both set to their highest setting.

I imagine Google Drive scanning will be considered good enough by many, and if I were a user newly in the market for such an app I might go with Google Drive myself. But having used such apps for years, and having tried many of them, I know what features are important to me (printing is one), and considering that I am a paid user of CamScanner, I don't see Google Drive replacing it any time soon.
