Google Gesture Search 2.1.5 battery drain

This latest version causes store battery drain with marshmallow 6.0.1 on my note 4 with touchwiz and with Nova and with action launcher. Up to 30% of total power use, I think because it almost continuously refreshes it's index.

SOLVED by side loading 2.1.4 apk

that is why I have Auto Updates turned OFF.

there is no reason to update an app if it is still performing properly.
the downside to forced updates for me, has nearly always been worse performance.
