Google is adding better DNS support

This may prove a two-edged sword, however. As free speech is continually silenced and censored, many are turning to alternate social media to share ideas away from arbitrary "community standards". Additional DNS control may be good in some ways and bad in others, as the next battleground will be domain block at the ISP level. I'm just nervous about it: and look forward to a next-gen internet, based on blockchain technology, that moves us away from domain names entirely.

Giving us more control over our own online connectivity is a bad thing? Really?
DNS isn't a content moderation tool and it isn't going to be dropped any time soon, that same kind of logic was used back when IPv4 was supposed to be replaced by IPv6, and here we are decades later and IPv4 is still a fundamental aspect to local and public networking. I can't imagine how restricting users to only use DNS services that are forced on them while giving ISPs and government agencies more power to use oversight and curation is actually a better option. It's not an optimal solution but at least Google is trying to take baby steps in the right direction.

I didn't say it's a bad thing. I said it's a two-edged sword, meaning that yes, it can be a great benefit. It can also open a Pandora's Box of uncertain outcomes that may prove why the law of unintended consequences is a law. That's all

I change my domain registration. I like to use https://beehosting.pro/domain-registration/
When you buy a domain, it comes with limited time validity, after which you need to renew it. Of course, you’re not going to ditch the website domain once the initial registration period is over. Hence, you must consider the domain renewal charges while choosing a domain registrar.
