Has anyone noticed any excessive battery drain from Google Listen when you aren't using the app? It seems like my battery is draining quicker than normal since I installed it and I'm not using it and it isn't in my running services. I can understand it would drain quicker while it was in use. Anyone seeing this? I know I can uninstall it and see if it helps but I'd like to keep it.

I have this app and have not noticed any battery drain. There are settings to only download when plugged in to an outlet. You might check and see if that option is checked.

One problem I have noticed with the program is that if you are using a bluetooth headset that has the ability to change tracks on the headset when you are in the music player and attempt to move to another track it starts the listen player.

you might want to consider .podkast.

works great and does video podcasts too (Listen only does audio)

I've had the Listen app on my phone for months (both on 1.5 and 2.1), I've never noticed it draining the battery when not in use.
I also recently found out about the app Old Time Radio, if you're in to such things they have a great selection of shows.
For ME podkast is not an option, as I tend to use these only when I'm driving.
