Google Listen is driving me nuts

of the full amount of time i spend on my device (SGS i897) i spend about 70 percent listening to podcasts. Ive used google listen for this for a while now, and all of the sudden, the downloads will just stop randomly even though im still connected to a wifi/mobile network. its driving me crazy. ive tried BeyondPod, Doggcatcher and aCast and all of them are not doing the job as well. they all seem to not want to DL completely in one shot.

is this an issue with my device possibly, something that might be hindering me from keeping a stable connection throughout the DL process?

any help is appreciated.
 
ok so i think i have determined that it has to do with trying to download via wifi. i just turned it off, and successfully downloaded an episode without it stopping. id say this narrows it down, but to what???
