Google+ lock out!

I had a weird experience today. I went to log in to Google+ and it wouldn't give me the user name and password boxes. It said something about testing with a small number of people and it would open soon, blah, blah, blah. I have been in Google+ for awhile now. I have a few people and circles so I didn't get it. I was trying this in Internet Explorer.

I opened up Google Chrome, went to the plus page and logged right in. It might be something for those who have invites but haven't been able to get in to try anyway.
 
I noticed that the Google+ site was up and down last night. I wonder if they are doing some type of upgrade.
 
I use Chrome as well. I haven't tried with any other browser yet.

I also found the site flaky with the Android app as well last night.
