Google Maps .apk file

Could someone please download the updated Google Maps application and post it here? It's supposedly a free app, but my Market keeps insisting it's not available.

This may not be possible. G-maps may be free, but it's not open source so posting the files may not be legal, and probably not allowed on this site.

Also you may not have the right firmware version for it hence not seeing it on the market...just a thought.

I believe it is perfectly legal to pass around the binaries of the free (as in gratis) apps. The term 'open source' applies to the source code, and in that regard you are correct (and that's not what I'm after, anyway).

Also you may not have the right firmware version for it hence not seeing it on the market...just a thought.

Now there's a thought, hmm. On the other hand: I know an easy way to test it!
