Google Maps GPS on Eris

Guys - With GPS, location, etc. activated, the app doesn't update itself as I move around. My friend's iphone's GPS was able to detect him every time he turned onto an intersection. Mine stayed where it was when I first opened the app. Please help.

Should be updating, I'm running 1.5 and use the gps quite often.

there have been some updates to Google Maps recently, be sure you've downloaded them. Many of the update features are really for 2.1 users, but it still (rarely) hurts to have to most updated app version.

Nah. Not if your on 1.5. Everyone who bought a Hero or Eris when they first came out got bent over by Google and HTC royally.

My Google Maps version is 3.1.2. And I can't find an update via Market. Where do I find this update you speak of?
