I have an evo shift. And I travel frequently. I attempt to use the google maps app that is on the phone, but it NEVER works. The location is always FAR from where I am at. Is there any way to fix this? I have done all of the updates and its just beginning to FRUSTRATE me more and more...

• Settings > Location and Security > tick 'GPS Satellites'.
• Check if there is no app like 'My Fake Location' running on your phone, "as a joke" from someone (did anybody have physical access and opportunity to 'configure' your phone without your knowledge?)
• Run other GPS apps to test whether they read your GPS position correctly, like: GPS Test (duh!), Google Nav, and Glympse or Waze. In my tests the last two are not fooled by My Fake Location, while the first two are.
