Google Maps Offline

I know how to cache the maps and so on and I understand that cached files are deleted in 30 days from creation. How do I avoid the files being deleted so that the cached areas are indefinitely on my phone?

Can't be done, although I would assume there is some sort of date code built into the map cache. If you could break the code and manually change the date... maybe.

Best option is to just download an offline map or nav app. I use Navfree.
