Help Google Maps Update Problem

I recently performed a factory reset on my LG 4X and all the google apps updated, except for Google Maps. When I enter the app it says it needs to update, but when I press to update it goes into google play and the update button doesn't appear. Only the "open" button.

Hi

Try opening the playstore app, go to my apps, find maps and update there. If it does not show an available update its probably already OK.(although I got an update for maps this morning..)

Its possible that you may need an update to "google play services" before maps can update. If you see that request appear, say yes to it.

Is maps a factory installed app on your phone?

Thanks for your reply, man, but I already tried all that and Google Services is updated. And yes, Maps came with the phone.

Not sure what to suggest

The latest version is 9.3.0 updated on 21/1/15 so if you have that you are OK.

Well, basically, on Google Play, it says that the app is updated but the version is 6.3.0. It's really strange...
