Google Maps Won't Update

Anyone else having this issue? It start the download then cancels it and says "Download Unsuccessful". Any ideas? Thanks.

Sorry, no problems on my end. Maybe the market is getting hit with everyone trying to grab the update. You can always try rebooting

Same here. Have tried numerous times to install but I just get the "Downloading" message for a few seconds and then "Download Unsuccessful" or the download progress bar doesn't get past something like 4% and then I get "Download Unsuccessful"

Chances are that the market is overwhelmed with users trying to download the update. Last night I tried to download the update and it took almost an hour to fully download. I know that it was not my connection, because I was able to do everything else (internet, mail, etc) just fine.

Give it some time and just keep trying. You'll get it sooner or later.

The Eris users are getting their 2.1 upgrade from Verizon's OTA server, just like we got our 2.1 upgrade.

The Google Maps 4.2 upgrade is coming from the Google Market ... completely different places.

I know, but I the update did have GM 4.2. It was the first thing I tried to download this morning after updating the wife's Eris. She is a bit navigationally challenged. I don't think the Eris users could be solely responsible for it, but are contributing.
