Google Messenger only recieving MMS when it is NOT the default.

Just as the title says. While Google messenger is set as default it does not download any MMS. As soon as I go back to textra or hangouts as default, messenger starts receiving them.

I don't mind textra but the google messenger app sure is good looking.

Yes, there is apparently an issue with Google Messenger and mms.

I thought I had heard that a recent update corrected it, but I gave up on it before the update and switched to textra.
