Google My Contacts? What?

In my Google account, I have 760 contacts in my Google "All Contacts" but only 755 in something called "My Contacts".

How can I easily find who these 5 are? And why do I have 2 versions of "Contacts"?

Help....?

"my contact" are the ones that get synced to your phone all contacts is everything that google has ever seen you contact (more than likely one time e-mails you sent out)

Google contacts is in beta currently, and I agree, it need a few more utilities. Example: auditing the contact lists.

I haven't tried this myself, but it MAY work:

  1. In Contacts create a new group called Extras
  2. Select the All Contacts group, then select All, then on the Groups pull-down select Add to... then select Extras
  3. Now select the My Contacts group, click select All, then on the Groups pull-down select Remove from... then select Extras.

This SHOULD leave you with a Extras group that contains only contacts that are not in My Contacts.

As a precaution, you may want to export My Contacts or All Contacts prior to doing any of the above, so if something goes wrong you can import them later.

I have got a droid x and when the Verizon copied my contacts over they are in a profile called contacts. However when show available groups that groups is not there. It needs to show up in a profile Phone Contacts. How do I move them over. Plus the Verizon backup app only seems to work with the profile Phone Contacts.
