Help Google navigate sets volume to silent when started

KRdroid

Lurker
Hi,

I have a Droid Turbo, on version 5.1 with the latest version of Maps. Whenever I start Google Maps Navigate, it sets the voice volume to silent and I have to manually turn the volume back up in order to hear anything. Then it frequently resets the volume again, and I have to turn it back up again. After that, the volume remains normal for the rest of the navigation.

Has anyone else had this issue?

never had that happen, but I have a work around until you figure out what is going on.

Install MacroDroid and set up a macro that senses when a particular app is activated and running, then have the macro crank up the volume to Max...

I use several macros to control volume all the time. Mine are activated by the screen when it goes blank, or it is woke up. in both cases I have "Volume Change" preset the volume levels for what I want....

* MacroDroid - Device Automation - Android Apps on Google Play

it is easy to learn and use

Trigger: Application Launched
Action: Volume Change

Thanks, will try that. Volume sometimes gets set to silent again after a minute or so, we'll see if that still happens.

Update: Well, no joy. Can only set it for when Google Maps starts, not when Google Navigation starts, so it didn't help :-( Thanks anyway.
