Google Navigation - I only get voice guidance, but the map doesn't move

I've just been using my Tattoo from new today
I installed Google Navigation
It works great
But... the map doesn't move!
The voice guidance works good - but the map stays static
I googled and couldn't find any reference to this problem

Am I the only one with this problem?

Thanks

OM

i looked at tall the options available - nothing there to change
i tried using navigation again - same problem, the map doesn't move

i tried again a few hours later - this time ok

weird - does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
or is it just buggy?

maybe i'm just talking to myself on this thread - but it's now working!
i'm thinking of selling tattoo on ebay and getting a mini pulse and unlocking that :(

I was trying to found a Google Navigation on the Market, but without success.
I can try to reproduce your problem, but first I need to install application :) .
Where you found installation of Google Navigation?

u just need to update google maps - it gets installed with this
it's weird when i installed on tattoo, there should have been a separate icon just for navigation - this was absent - but i could get to navigation through the maps options
a few days later - it appeared by magic!

google navigation - absolutely the *most* awesome thing EVER!
ok, maybe not as user friendly as tomtom, but for other reasons a million miles better
the main one for me: i can just type in a location and find it!
i don't have to know the post code, or other precise detail
i can even make a spelling mistake
imagine just trying to search for somewhere on google maps - ur not quite sure of details, so u 'just' type something in - like a shopping centre name or something
if more than one match is found, u'll get a choice to choose from - and then u just select and navigate to!

with tatttoo - it's awesome - a really small device, but i still have full blown navigation!

shame though: i'm getting rid of my tattoo - i've had enough! :(

I had the same problem once, was weird, just saw the triangle moving off into the background and the map didn't move once.

my advice: stay away from tattoo
the hardware specs are fine
there is absolutely no reason why the operating system should be so dismally poor - apart from htc intentionally doing it to force people to buy more expensive

The best thing about navigation is that it's motorcycle friendly.

I have a Garmin in the car - but on the bike, all I need to do is plug my iPod headphones into the Tattoo and I'm good to go.

It's a bit late on guidance sometimes - but it's a brilliant "no frills" solution.
