Google Nexus 5X.

From what I've read the Nexus 5X will only be sold by Google, but you will be able to bring it to Verizon after buying it.

I brought the Nexus 6 to them and they told me it wouldn't work.
They lied.

The Nexus 6 will work on Verizon. The Nexus 5X and 6P will work on Verizon.

They all have the same radios, it doesn't matter where you get them. It's the same phone and is able to be activated on any (major carrier) network.

When did you go there with the 6? They were confused (but still wrong) at first. They should be on track now. No issues with the Moto X Pure, same deal...buy from Motorola and activate anywhere.

Before it came to Verizon.

I got a nano sim card from Verizon, how do I activate it, do I have to call them or can I just do it myself?

You could do it yourself. Go to your online account and swap/activate your new device. However, they require confirmation text verification. I prefer to call them instead.

I have found that with a new sim card, you just about have to call the techs at CS...
I have tried the online method, but after I went to smartphones, it quit working for me.

Especially when I take advantage of an upgrade on line #3 and then try to register the phone on line #1....

the online system craps out every time.
