**SOLVED**
(I am sorry if i posted this in the wrong section!)
Hi.
I have recently rooted my android device (google nexus 6) using the nexus root toolkit desktop application. Everything worked just fine, with just one exception: Google now was disabled (i couldn't swipe to the left to find it).
In the google settings the option to enable google now cards is there, but it's greyed out.
I have tried everything from simply rebooting the device to uninstalling and reinstalling the google search app.
Thank you in advance for the help.
Edit:I have now unrooted and relocked my device using the same tool, and during the setup, it didn't ask me to join google now. Also, there is now a hot pink line (assumingly 1 pixel thick) cutting across the right end of the screen! This also shows in bootloader mode, and when booting. Will i have to get a new device, and more importantly, do i get my warranty back since it is locked again? What should i do?
