Google now news cards

Does everyone get cards from websites that are not very good? There will be cards for topics I like but the sites they go to are crappy sites. Like they are the ones you get when doing a search that are playing games to get ranked higher. So yeah I am interested in android but I don't want links to fake nexus 6 stories.

Is there some way to get cards that link to better sites?
 
I found Google Now to be quite useless anyway, like keep on sending me cards telling me that I was "20 minutes from TST, Hong Kong", even though I was in London at the time. Completely useless in the PRC. Plus it's a data hog as well. I removed it from my phone.
 
Yeah the distance from things that is silly too. Are there a lot of people out there who can't find their house?
 
Yes I do. When I get useless card i press the option telling that says I don't want to receive cards from this site. I notice that it usually gets cards from my recent websites or searches
 
How do you tell it to stop giving updates from a site? When I click the three dots on a particular item it only asks if I want to stop getting updates about the topic or if I want to stop updates about all research topics.

I agree I do mostly see cards from my recent searches which could be useful but they always seem to link to crappy sites so if I could improve the results google now may be useful.
 
Under setting go to accounts and select google. You can turn the notification off but I'm not sure if that will stop certain sites or just stop all the sites together. Personally I don't really use Google now
