Google + on HTC Desire

Hi all, I've just updated Google+ on my HTC Desire to the new build of 2.1.0.216852 and it's gone from being a great tool to completely unusable. I get a force close whenever I try to post a message in Messenger or on my Stream and it won't load comments when I click into messenger.

I've tried moving it to my SD card, reinstalling, clearing data, deleting and downloading then reinstalling... Really don't know what to try next! Android is V. 2.2

Is anyone else experiencing similar?

I can't open my contacts after I install it. So I uninstall it. Android is V2.3.5

Samsung Galaxy SL, 2.2.1 stock ROM, so far so good. G+ is actually faster on mine.

It's driving me crazy!

I use huddle as an IM system at work and this is making my life difficult.

Any idea how to fix it?

Try clearing data, uninstall, reboot, reinstall from scratch.
