Apps Google Play Developers

Hey everybody!!

Is it just me, or is the support for google play developers absolute shit!? We recently published a app for our website (frontorback), and it was pulled within 24 hours for what google called "nudity", we reviewed all content and found no nudity, we resubmitted and again had our app pulled, even though there was zero nudity.

I attempted to contact google directly, to appeal the removal, however they responded, saying they would not remove the suspension and would not comment further on why it was removed. And that any further inquires would not be responded to.

Has anybody had a similar issues, have you had any luck getting a reasonable google support rep to help you?

I moved this to the application development forum were others that have had issues with Google can offer opinions. Sadly, I've heard of others that had similar non response experience like you.:(

Good luck with a resolution.

Wow. After reading this, I'm pretty much settled on not developing another Google Play app. They won't miss me; they are richer than God, but inexcusable that they can't offer some feedback. It doesn't have to be in-depth, just some indicator of what the problem is. Apple does.

I feel your pain, my fellow developer, although my app was at least somewhat questionable; not like yours. My app, "Texas Strip'em Poker", had scantily clad 3D models with what I thought were all the necessary areas covered, but got "Suspended" today. They say you can't use other apps as examples, but what else is a developer to do?

Yeah... I'm done with Google Play. Go MiKandi ;)

I'd just rename the app and re-submit it. We are at the mercy of the app stores as developers and for you to whine about them being uncompromising will not get your app anywhere. Sure, they messed up and aren't service minded - but you have already coded your app and not releasing it would mean that you've wasted your time.

Rename it and re-submit it, just see this as a small speed bump.

I wasn't "whining", just sharing my experience.

I somewhat doubt it was just the name, but I'm going to go ahead and rename it to "Texas Hold'em 3D" and re-submit it, and I'll see how long it stays this time. Thank you for the suggestion.

@frontorback, maybe you have something in your app that resembles nudity? Maybe there are two pink pears, which look like boobs from distance?
For instance this innocent photo was banned by facebook, because these elbows look like enormous silicon breasts to sick facebook staff.
