Help Google Play Music won't allow. e to change storage location to SD card

I can't get google play music to accept the SD card (this phone only) the phone accepted the card I can save pics to it I can move apps to it I just can't download my purchased music to the card. Been in contact with google. They say must be a hardware issue. Anyone else have this issue?
