Google play recording doesn't work

Google play recording doesn't work, it just gives me this error message: 'recording failed, unsupported device'

Why is this? How hard can it be to record the screen? And why can't Google do it when I know that I can do it with third party apps?

I was hoping on being able to get it working as I'm not really in the mood of getting a third party app that take up space and probably will splash its watermark all over the screen capture.

OS: Android 7.0
Device: Lenovo k6 Note
SOC: Snapdragon 430
Display: 1080p

Do you mean Google Play Games, which has screen recording?

Could be that it is incompatible with the K6 Note? Have you got the latest version of Google Play Games installed?

FYi watermarks are usually from trial versions of screen recorder apps. Paid full-versions should not have watermarks.
