my google play service has used 1.32gb of data since 5/1/16 and is using a lot of battery..what is going on?

Sounds like your app updates are eating up your data. You can change your settings in the Play Store to auto-update over wifi only to save data.

Their seems to be an issue with the s6/s7 and Google play services right now. I've heard and read a lot of complaints about how much data Google play services is eating up with Samsung phones.

I found I was using a great deal of data after I switched to Verizon and got the S7. I also found it was my fault. I had not set the updates to use WiFi only. That and turning off Mobile Data stopped my excessive usage.

I just checked mine. It's used 169MB since March 30th. I have updates set to wifi only.
