Google Play Store crashing on boot

when I try to tap the Google Play Store opens for a split second and then closes when do the Google Play Store is still it quits to the home screen using Android 4.2 can somebody please help me?
 
Try updating the Google play store by opening your browser instead of the app, go to apkmirror.com and do a search for play store.
Choose the latest version of the play store, install it, reboot your device.

Check the pending updates for your Android device. If the OS update is available then update it, I hope this may fix the issue.
