All of a sudden google play store icon and multiple apps turned to grey generic android symbols and when I clicked on them they say "application is not installed on your phone." When I access the apps from settings they show they are installed. When I access the apps from google play web browser it says they are installed. I tried uninstalling them and they still show installed from google play web browser. I tried installing a new app and it did not show up anywhere in my phone even tho the download appeared successful. Plz help! I have tried rebooting, taking the battery and sd card out. Nothing is working. I have a galaxy S2.

I'm guessing you have data for these apps installed on the sd card. The scenario you describe is typical of what happens when the sd card can't be read. If you have the capability, try the card in your computer. If you can read from it at all, reformat it as fat32 and try it again in your phone. If this helps, it is just a bandaid fix for a card that is probably on its way out, and you should get a new one ASAP.
