Google Play won't deactivate to update

My S6 updated yesterday to 6.0.1 & I keep receiving an alert to uninstall Google Play services so it can update. I go in to the app & an alert pops up that says "This app is a device administrator and must be deactivated before uninstalling" so I tap on "deactivate" and the window pops up again, I've restarted, forced stop, tapped deactivate about 20 times & nothing...the app won't deactivate.

I had the same issue and it cleared up on it's own. Maybe give it a day or so?

You are getting an alert to uninstall Google Play Services? That is unusual. Google Play services can update on its own (no uninstall needed). Can you share a screen print of that alert?
