Google Play

So I've been having this problem since last night. When ever I go into Google Play and try to download an app I get an error 491 or 500 ( it seems to change). I read that if I uninstall the Google play updates and and Google play services, clear all cache, delete Google account, restart the phone, and log back in it should work. I did all this and yes it does work. However only for a few minutes. Then I get the errors all over again. Its very frustrating to go through all these steps every time I want to download an app. A little about my phone. Gs4, Verizon, rooted (but the bootloader is still locked as I have ME7 so no custom roms) I called Verizon and they said it was a Google issue and that they were having server issue and to try again in 24hrs. My question is why would I be able to download an app after I go through all through all these steps if the server is down? Any help would greatly be appreciated. I really don't want to take my phone into Verizon and have them know I rooted my phone.

Also none of my Google keep notes seem to save( could this be related)

The server wasn't down. A 500 error is a server error. (Apache doesn't specify any further - the people supporting the server have to look at the error log to see what the cause of the problem was.)

A 491 error is also a server-type error, possibly related to bad code on the server.

It's possible that Google made some changes to the Play server and broke something. Or one of the servers (they probably run the Play store from multiple servers around the world) broke, and when you retried you got another server for one shot.
