Google playstore not working correctly

zenedy

Lurker
so after factory reset that i needed to do because my phone was lagging really badly, i saw something that made me angry, i couldnt install any app or update it, it said error 504 and i saw a post where they said to remove its updates to factory version 6.xx and i rememmber having much higher version and the problem continues but it doesnt say error 504, now it says something with server and the google play store doesnt want to update it self, and when i tried to update it with apk it said installation failed, i am lost at this point, i would be glad if someone helped me :)

If clearing Play store app's cache doesn't work, just uninstall it then download an Apk using a web browser, after installing the app should work correctly and update itself. I already had to do this a couple of times.

You don't have to use the latest APK because once installed it will self update.

Yes i can

Try the following

Clear the cache and data of the Playstore app.

Restart the phone.

Open Playstore and try to install one of those app to see if it work.

If it doesn't work, it could be a compatibility issue with old OS like Lollipop. You should install those apps from APK, make sure you find the version that is known to work with Lollipop.

The last YouTube version that works for my Nexus 7 running Lollipop is the 13.23.59

Update to any higher version will return an error.

Please ignore this if you aren't running Lollipop.
