Google Plus Photos / Google Drive Sync

Is it possible to sync my photos and Google Drive?

I have a Moto X and I've used Dropbox in the past. A feature I really loved with Dropbox is that it would automatically backup photos I took with my phone to my "Camera Uploads" folder in Dropbox. Then when I'm at a forum or something and I want to attach a photo I took with my phone .. super simple. Just find the image in dropbox, get the link and the photo is ready to share. Paste a link and you're done.

Now I'm usually a big fan of things Google, so maybe I'm missing something here, but this is hugely stupid in my opinion. I take a photo with my android phone. I'm signed into Google, I have plus, and I have Google Drive. Why in the world are the photos that get backed up to Google Plus not visible in my Google drive?

I really just want a URL link to my photos. Is that too much to ask from Google? What am I missing?

Hello and welcome to the forums. I can't get u a URL to the photos but I can get the photos to show . the only thing is that your photos will be online for everyone and their mom to see . that the only thing dropbox protect you Google drive sort of . but if you go into the Google account you set up and look over the sync settings you will be on your way to see everything shown .

I appreciate the response, although I have to admit I'm having a little difficulty following you.

Hopefully someone who may understand what you're trying to tell me will chime in and set me straight.

Yes I have a google account. Here are the things I don't understand from your message:

You can get the photos to show where? I am trying to get two things, first a URL I can share with anyone via IM, email, etc. and second, I want the file in my Google Drive folder locally on my computer (or whatever device I have GD installed on). This is simple and easy with dropbox, but I would prefer to use Google Drive.

I'm not sure at all what this means. Seems you're trying to tell me that DropBox provides some level of security or protection or privacy that Google doesn't?

I assume by settings you mean the plus account settings at https://plus.google.com/settings ? I don't see any section or configuration for "sync settings". There is a setting called "Show Drive photos and videos in your photo library." However what I want is basically the opposite of this. I want photos in my Plus Photo library to be visible in Google Drive.

I appreciate you trying to help me .. I believe there is no simple way to get what I'm looking for, and I'm guessing I'll need to find a hack or something.
