Help Google Refreshing the Nexus 5 anytime soon or at all?

If this question is in the wrong thread sorry for that.

So back in 2013 I bought an Samsung Galaxy S4 because I didn't know anything about android at the time as I was making the switch from iPhone. About a year or so ago I found out about the Nexus series of phones and how Samsung uses this crappy skin called "touchwiz" and it depressed me.

So basically my contract expires early Septemberish and I want to get a Nexus 5, but I notice that Google hasn't refreshed it since 2013. Does Google ever have plans on refreshing the Nexus 5 with newest snapdragon cpu's and such? Because I want a Nexus in September but the Nexus 6 is way to big for me.

Right now about the closest thing to a refreshed Nexus 5 is the Moto X. But that's now. September is a loooong ways off in smartphone terms. Sit back and wait a few months. Nobody can say now what will - or even might - be available in September.
