Although I would love for Google to make their own tv box's - I think this is a good move.

I also think it's a wise move.

Especially since many people watch shows/movies on their Android phones - it could make for an easier association.

Having TV boxes and abandoning Google TV are not mutually exclusive (see the plethora of USB sticks and devices like the Ouya) goals.

I think its wise- why have two ecosystems that both need maintaining when you can reduce and streamline it?
