Google Search Bar Widget?

Basis

Newbie
Does anyody have an .apk file of the flan Google search bar widget? The one on my Milestone 2.1 is the old one without the the voice search button(I installed voice search on my phone recently since that too wasn't included). And is it possible to use the search bar from Froyo and install it on my phone?

Just curious, but does your phone have a spyglass/search button?

My phone's OS version is 1.6, and it has the voice search with the google search bar already. Yours is 2.1, and I think it would surely have voice search.

The android system have two default apps, one is used to take picture, and the other is used to video recording. They are both on the apps panel (press the button on the bottom of the screen). I'm quite sure there're some more powerful camera apps in the android market, maybe you could try to make a search using the key: camera or camera apps

Wish this could help.

I'm just curious why people use the search bar widget when the search function is hard-coded to that search key, it is always available, no? Maybe I'm missing something though.

Some phones (older ones now, all new android phones I've seen have a search key, even the cheapo ones) don't have a dedicated search key available. That's where you need the widget... like the Moment.

Strange, when I rebooted my phone, the search button appeared on the search box.

Okay, now that that's solved, anybody got the 2.1 camera apk?
