Google Search notification.

Hello, I am very new to this technology. I have a very cheap 7 " Tablet by "NURVO" running Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich. I am getting a notification from Google Search stating "INSUFFICIENT STORAGE AVAILABLE"
The tablet has 16 Gb onboard storage and is supplemented with a 16 Gb micro S.D. card. How should I react and deal with this message ? I am not "techie" inclined so any help would be appreciated.
Thankyou.

It seems to be strange that Google Search sends such a notification about storage.
That notification, does it appear in your notification bar or does it pop up in the middle of your screen?

If you are sure that you get the notification from Google Search you could disable the app for to test the issue (Settings, Apps, All, Google Search ... you might to have uninstall its updates before you are able to disable).

Hi Harry, It pops up in the middle of the screen when I start a search. It gives me the option to "O.K." it and when I do it then disappears. I am still able to conduct a search and do not detect any other problems. I will try to disable the App to see if this removes the problem.
Thankyou.

If you disable the app you won't be able to start a search :)

You might have a look at Search's settings (there is "Phone search") ... look which apps Search does incude for to search. You might uncheck them all, but not the browser, for to test.

UPDATE:
I've just read the next post by shahabazas :) he's right, you'd analyze your tablet's internal storage.

Sorry, I was too focused at Search :)
As you posted the notification wasn't Search's outcome , it was simply triggered by Search. So it should be sent by the Android OS.

You need to check how much storage is available in your internal memory go to settings/applications/manage application may be your internal memory is exhausted it happens with many phones as the 16GB is divided for user available and also for application installation so check the internal storage first.

Thank you all for this help. I have checked and found that allmost everything was held on the internal memory with very little on the card. I have now removed all images and music to the card and this has solved my problem. I am most grateful for your guidance.
