I recently got an android phone and for the most part I love it. What I don't like is the Google Talk app it came with. Even though I signed out and chose the option of not automatically signing me in, it still manages to show I'm online when I'm not. I tested this out and signed out of all google accounts and when I do that my status somehow goes to idle. I've never had this problem before.
I only want to be available when I'm actually sitting at my computer. This confuses all of my contacts who try to chat with my when I'm not actually there. All the people I chat with are my administrative coworkers who think I am available to do work at my computer when they see the green icon. Now, this is no longer the case. Not to mention the fact that it looks like I'm eternally online, with no life. But that's beside the point. )
Is there any way to fight the system and completely delete google talk from my phone? It's not fair that they're forcing me to use an application I don't even want.
Any insight would be appreciated.
