Google Talk Help

Hey i just signed up for Google talk on my computer and now i'm trying to get it to set up on my phone. It would work but for some reason it's trying to load w. my yahoo email, when it shuold be with my gmail, can anybody help me switch it to gmail? please help!!!
Also this phone is an LG Optimus T. If that changes anything

Sorry for the late reply - this is just bizarre.

Does your Market work?

Typical Android setup is to first enter your gmail account, and that auto-setups Gmail, Talk (gtalk), and the Market.

Also try clearing data on Talk. Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All tab > scroll to Talk > tap it > clear data.

Make sure you have a registered Gmail account in the accounts section.
