I did read most of the other 50,000 GV threads but never saw this mentioned so bear with me...
I have tried to set up my GV to be my IM number through AIM and also be my weather alert number through the Weather Channel. Both require a confirmation number that I never receive.
I figure it's one of two things but don't know which, not that either answer will "fix" my issue.
1) They are sending the confirmation codes as a MMS, not just a text, therefore, GV never gets it.
2) Somehow the GV numbers aren't recognized as "cell phone" numbers so don't show as valid numbers to send the confirmations to. Not even really sure if that is possible, just a thought.
Anyway, has anyone been able to set up either an AOL/AIM account and authorized their GV number or does anyone get weather alerts sent to their GV number through the Weather Channel?
